Probably Ebay to be honest. But this is technically not a for sale Ad so your border-lining on the rules. So I'm moving you.

    www.chrisguitars.com had one I believe.

I have bought of him as have others. He can be trusted. Ring him though instead of emalling, much quicker.

    www.chrisguitar.com had one I believe.

    Had a quick look:

2004 Gibson Les Paul Supreme, STUNNING. One of the best looking Pauls I've had--ever. Features 5A top AND 5A back plus carved top AND back. To quote Gibson, "there have been over 100 different Les Paul models, but none has featured the degree of ornamentation represented by the Les Paul Supreme's curly maple top and back. The Supreme has a chambered mahogany body for a lighter feel. It features custom binding on top, back, fingerboard and headstock and split-block inlays on an ebony fingerboard. The distinctive look is enhanced by custom binding, deluxe pearl fingerboard inlays and a pearl-and-brass globe inlaid on the headstock. Includes black Gibson hardshell case with removable shroud. This one was bought as an investment only and has never been played, in fact the owner was a lefty who did not play righty. The owner was meticulous about this guitar and never touched it with his actual hands, using a cloth to hold it. It ships in original box. For full specs check out this page at Gibson's Site. The Supreme lists for $4488 and sells online at the major dealers for $3099 to $3179. You can see how fine this flame is, front and back, and that's a definite selling point to taking whatever may be in stock. Anyhow, it's basically untouched by human hands and nicely priced at $2499(Hold - Frankie 10/25).

It seems this Frankie character has it on hold. You can keep your fingers crossed that he'll pull out. You have to be on the ball to get them before others do on that site. You could ring him up andask him to source another. I did this with a particular PRS I wanted, it had just sold though from the source he hoped to get it from though, he did make a few calls and get back to me though. If he knows he has a sale lined up for the Supreme he'll probably have no problems picking one up for you if he comes accross it, they sell well anyway. Hope that helps.

 3500 for a les paul. I think you'd be mad to pay that. With the supreme your paying a lot for it to look pretty. Also have you considered tokai? Check first link in my sig for a truly amazing Les Paul or if you want to go new, How about a tokai ls320 which are built to order and will set you back about €2500 before import fees and shipping but they are probably the best les paul you can buy. Yes better than most new gibsons. Personally I'd go second hand, you can get the same sound but have well over a grand left to spare. If you want more info on tokais let me know. Have a catalogue here

    Here's the reviews for it

Apologies for brief hijack... Hey, custom22: How much did shipping and import tax come to when you were ordering from chris? I'm looking at a prs there.

How the hell do you access the electronics on that supreme?

Haha you know I never even noticed that. Anyone know?

same as on an archtop. Make sure you tape the wires to the outside of the guitar when you are working on it. If they disappear inside you will be fishing them out with a crochet hook, even though i would imagine it's not as bad on this.

    What?

Also, another point, how much does the flametop on the back add to the cost of the guitar? No one will ever see the back of it so why have a beautiful finish on the back? Plus, no elecie access. Rip off.

An archtop like a gibson 335 does not have any readily accessible cavities like a standard electric. Therefore when working on the guitar you must make sure that all the wiring does not fall into the inside of the guitar. It's hard to explain without showing it, but try and imagine routing wire from pickups to the input jack when all you have to work through is a tiny f-hole.

Why would anyone want to own a Les Paul like that, and not touch it, play it???? Freak!!!

As I posted before the guy in In-Tune Music in Dun Laoghaire told me he would undercut Thomann.de on certain Gibson and Epiphone LPs and SGs. Not sure if he was including the very high end models. Probably worth phoning him anyway.
PS I have no connection at all to that shop other than repeating what the guy told me

I just noticed, the jack plate looks huge. So that's where the access probably is.

**** all really. $90 to ship I think and tax was 21% of the declared price I believe. Some other duty, but I did say declared price.

Doesn't matter if he's like the original owner of the Chris' guitar one and never touches it with his "actual hands". WTF? :v: :v: :v:

The other import duty is 3.7% on top of shipping and vat cost. Though with the exchange rates at the moment it might be better to find something closer to home. A year or two ago was great for buying gear from the states when the market crashed

Eh, I've a Gibson Lucille, which is essentially a Custom ES355 without the f-holes.
It's got a back-plate for electronics access, it's only your full archtops that mightn't have that.
Meh, I'd agree, it's gorgeous looking, but not worth the cost.
