Collusion... again!

I know this topic has been brought up before but a friend of mine recently caught two players. The card rooms seem to be taking it a lot more seriously now and taking decisive action against. Although in this situation it was BLATENTLY obvious, like raising up 90% then folding on the flop, just so player A could donate chips to player B.

    Hello xxxx,

Thank you for your report. The integrity of our games is of utmost
importance to us, and when confronted with such suspicions, we have one of
our poker specialists undertake extensive research into the players'
    relationships and past play.

Either myself or another specialist will review this. Please allow us some
time to research this matter; it may take several days if the matter is
particularly complex. We will be back to you as soon as possible with the
    results of our examination.

    Hello xxxx,

A quick update on the status of the ongoing review of these players. I
have confirmed suspicious action while replaying the tournament with all
    cards revealed.

Both accounts have been suspended while the investigation continues. The
players have been contacted by email and will be given a chance to respond.
In the interim, we will investigate their play in other tournaments. This
process can take a few days, even weeks, but I assure you that appropriate
action will be taken and I will contact you at that time.

Again, we thank you for taking time to report this situation. Vigilant
players such as yourself, acting as extra eyes and ears are a valuable
addition to the many tools that we have at our disposal to help keep our
    games clean.

    Regards,

    Hello xxxx,

Our review of 'xxxxxxxxxx' and 'xxxxxx' is complete. We have confirmed that
they were in fact working together to the detriment of other players in the
game. As a result, they have been disqualified from a number of
tournaments, their accounts have been closed and they are barred from
    future play at PokerStars.

You only played with them in one tournament and it is one from which they
were disqualified. As a result of the disqualification you advanced from
6th to 4th place. To reflect the change in standings, your account has
been credited in the amount of $18.

Again, I want to thank you for your vigilance. We do monitor the games and
have many tools to identify potential colluders. None the less, there are
cases where a vigilant player the table is the best defense.

Thank you for choosing PokerStars as your online poker room. Never
hesitate to contact us anytime you have questions or concerns.

    Happy Holidays,

    Ellis

    Pokerstars are the greatest.

Well done. You are a hero for following this through.

Daniel Negranu alleged M*** *** ***** had players dump their chips to him in tournaments.

PokerStars should give you more than $18 ..... say a $10,000 WSOP ticket, flights, and accommodation.

And they should publish the players names and addresses in their news section.

It wasn't actually me that complained, it was a friend of mine. But your still right. WHERE'S MY WSOP TICKET!!

You know Pokerstars also have players active cash game players who have colluded in the past but have not been banned because they are high volume, high stakes, high rake contributing players. They have a system in which certain players cannot sit at the same cash table as certain other players, I believe that they also apply this to memebers of the same family.

Although not stictly related to colluding I was wondering how many of you are willing to admit having multiple accounts on sites? I mean I had 4 Pokerstars accounts under different real people's names and a couple on Fulltilt. This was never for collusion but more for WWE-esque character type thinking. I know a few very serious online players who have done this also, and one has coined the term "pokerpro account" for the serious account on a site. So how many of you have mothers / fathers / girlfriends / friends who are "high volume online players" but have never seen a flop in their lives? :)

Didn't Marcel Luske have a team of players playing on his account? There was some tournament leaderboard they were trying to win. Noah Boaken was one of the team.
I've never had multiple accounts going at the same time. I've 2 accounts on 1 site but haven't played the original one in about a year.

The closest iv come to multiple accounts in a second account on the same network but with a different skin.

Yeah, he had a team of players trying to beat Gigabet in the stars TLB prop bet, all on the same account.

The only site I don't have more than one account on is Pokerstars.

To me its sensible to have 4 accounts on your current favourite platform.
1 for STTs, MTTs, Cash, and an optional 4th one with $10 dollars in it to mess about with when you come in from the pub absolutely hammered.
The first 3 make it easier to work out what progress you are making. The drunken account is essential bankroll protection,
    AJs.

4 accounts on one site is alot, I hope they don't run an IP trace as I doubt they'd appreciate 4 accounts being played from the one PC.

Don't most sites have rules against multiple accounts in their T&Cs?

How would it work if you were on 4 different skins? Who is it that keeps track, the PaddyPower's or Tribeca's?

whichever skin notices the "dodginess" first ... they all communicate together

I have to say Pokerstars appeared to this a lot more professionally than Paddy Power's "OMG collusion banned" response.

I think, rightly or wrongly, that so long as there is no attempt to cheat by playing 2+ accounts in the one game, that the powers that be won't/shouldn't have any problem.
I suspect that Tribeca etc, know that any insistence on only having an account with one skin would potentially fall foul of EU competition law (regardless of what t&c's a user signed).
Anyway, off to play the drunken account!

I just noticed something, if you try start up another tribeca skin when you have one already open, it won't do it. So, having different accounts with 2 different skins is allowed, but playing on them at the same time is impossible, at least on the same computer.

a thread about a giveaway ticket to the Christmas Cracker.....

i don't get it. we found collusion, i confirmed it was just that in another post.

back to the point i think PPPs record on stopping and acting on collusion speaks for itself. i fail to see how posting the results of such investigations on a poker community forum is somehow unprofessional!?

and i never once used the term OMG. loike.

That's a good system prima has. You can have an account on any skin but you use the same nick on all of them.
