Just wondering, Has anyone plugged a freeview box into ntl standard connection (ROI)? Would it decode any of ntl's digital stations or is it not compatible?

NTL have to enable your box. In aswer no it wouldn't. It is probably illegal to try. If you're in a freeview covered area just use that instead.

Probably the same effect as plugging your fridge in. The Freeview box is for DTT and not cable.

    Exactly as BrianD said

For a sort of technical explanation in the hope it doesnt go over your head.
DTT channels are broadcast on different UHF channel numbers to the analog and certainly arent rebroadcast by NTL.

That said, their old rig in Dublin would certainly have been capable of getting them.

Locked as I invoke the hacking rule or somesuch
