Xbox Live Set-Up

Okay, so I have the XBox 360 Premium package. I already have a broadband connection in my home from UTV Clicksilver. The modem I have is a zyxel Prestige 600 jobbie that only has a USB connection (no ethernet connection).

So what do I need to get on Xbox live wirelessly? The xbox wireless adaptor anyway. But can anyone suggest a good, cheap wireless router that would suit my set-up as I'm clueless when it comes to networks and the like.

These things are great. Just plug one in to a plug socket near your modem and then plug one in to a plug socket near your xbox and there you go. Configures itself without any hassle. I've got a pair and i'd highly recommend them.

Great idea JacoStanley, Im currently using a wireless switch and its ok for Xbox Live but crappy for streaming video.
The only thing is that thetrickykid only has a USB modem, easy thing to do is install a cheap'n'nasty network card in your PC and then in the network connections under WindowsXP, select the two network connections and right for the option to 'bridge' them then connect the network addapter into the power ethernet adapter thingy.

    Thanks for the help lads.

Those adaptors would've been perfect for the job, but the modem has no ethernet connection so thats them out of the equation. I'm sorry kerbdog, but I mustn't emphasised how clueless I am when it comes to this malarkey, cause I'm struggling to follow what you're suggesting mate.:confused:

btw, make sure yea got a network card in your current PC.
Its connector (RJ45) looks like a larger version of a phone socket (RJ11).
If yea dont, yea should be able to pick one up for 10-15euro.

Remember, when setting up that router/wireless jobie, to enable security on the wireless so people near yea dont get free wireless broadband :)WPA encryption is supported by the Xbox360 so I would use that.
