I want to replace the three way toggle on my tokai LP.
Anyone recomend any? i am ordering from musicstore tonight or 2morro so would be handy to get them in that order. The electrics seem to cut when i switch to neck pickup so its just bad electronics or something. I presume its more than just the switch(connections or something)

Actually, that's easily fixed. Far more easy that you might think. Could just be dirty contacts, I've had this happen to me before on one of my guitars. The best trick is if you get some aftershave, and just dribble a few drops down into the switch, then switch it back and forth around 20 times or so, and you should be sorted.

Now you might think I'm being silly here, what with the aftershave, but the alcohol will clean out the contacts in the switch very quickly without doing any damage at all to your electronics. The smell will go away after a day or two.

Having looked at the type of toggle switches used quite a bit lately I have to say I'm not at all surprised that they have such a high failure rate. They're crap.

The more I think about it, the more I reckon that if I owned a Les Paul style guitar I'd go looking for a proper SPDT on-on-on switch to put in it. The action of the switch would probably be stiffer, but imo that would be a good thing.
