My problem is that i cant even start iTunes.
latly i deleted Quicktime by mistake(didnt know iTunes needed it)since then i have reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime but no luck. when i try start iTunes i get an error message-

itunes.exe has generated an error and will be closed by Windows
You will need to restart the program

An error log is been created.

I have seen this once or twice on other programs but they seem ok.
I have the latest version of iTunes
posted this in the gadget forum but was told to try here
    I havn't a clue what to do,anyone know? thanks

Did QuickTime reinstall properly? Or did you reinstall both?
My flatmate was having a problem with it a few weeks back - he too deleted QuickTime by mistake - after reinstalling it was getting some errors - different to yours though.
I removed QuickTime again and left iTunes, and if you search on google you will find a link to just install QuickTime - no iTunes
Fixed it for him but i dunno - too hungover! :-D

i repaired iTunes, and that did nothing, then uninstalled it,then reinstalled it,
didnt work and it didnt install Quicktime wit iTunes.
so i downloaded Quicktime on its own and that hasnt helped
    thanks though

how did you uninstall it? if you simply deleted the folder it may have caused your problems. go to add/remove programmes in the control panel and delete it from there - then reinstall from scratch, i.e. both i-tunes and quicktime.

didnt even wipe my songs off:D
