Places to study this week on campus after hours?

I may have asked this before, but since the library is closed this week at 5pm everyday I'm wondering if people could list any places they know (lecture theatres or anything) that are open for after hours study?

Unfortunately my dept isn't so kind to us in this regard, not like botany and their huts etc. All physics buildings close at 5-6..

Is the 24 hour reading room open? That's likely to be packed though? Considering there's only one row of study desks

If the Arts Block is open go up the stairs and find an empty room. Me and my mates do that when we want to go over some stuff together because you can't talk in the library.

Maybe John2 could lend you the key to DURNS?

Or maybe you could try Stargal's/EduMyth's/Ronny's house? :).

Most students, including myself, do not have swipe access to there. (Oh and ffs to your sig, does that not get old?)

Doesn't the arts block close early out of term?

Ah no. That'd be pretty uncomfortable

Are any lecture theatres in the hamilton open?

What about clearing yourself a corner in the laser huts? Not very comfortable but you've got a bit of desk space and internet access as needed.

Yeah I'd do it at a push. Really don't like the laser huts though. Lights give ya a headache. The beeping coming from that middle room. Plus the hum at night-time is enough to drive you insane. It's a terribly uncomfortable, psychosis giving environment (it's the lights mostly). Almost every other computer room would be better.

i shouldnt tell people this, cos we want to keep it all for ourselves, but the computer room in D'Olier Street is lovely and has padded spinny chairs with adjustable backrests and height adjustable seats, and is open in term time to 6.15pm.
We also have leather couches in the foyer. Drop in sometime and remind us that the nurses are still part of TCD. [that offer does not apply to sexual predators]

Only thing for it its to become a hack and get the keys to a soc room. I'd say anything around the atrium would suffice as you probably wouldn't get thrown out of those until the Buttery finishes up.

Actually Dec if you had asked me, I would have given you my key 'cos I was out of the country for a good while.

Got a question now. The 24-hour "reading room" is open, and is well used as a computer room, but does anyone actually use it as a study room?

I did once or twice last year. Have only been in there once this year but last year there was always a couple of people using it as a study room.

Why thank you :) The sentiment is appreciated.

Ended up doing studying in the 24hour room monday and tues.. Only a couple of non comp desks there though. You have to get in a good bit (~4) before the library closes or you won't get a desk.
