Anyone noticed the statue of Thomas Moore on College Street. Its at the junction of College Green and Westmoreland Street in Dublin. There has been a wine bottle in his hands for the past few weeks. Looks like he just took a swig from it. Heres a map to show where it is and a pic of the statue ( not a pic with the bottle)

i say it would be quite funny to see!Its like the statue of some famous Irish dude in abbyfeale on match days always has a limerick flag in it-quite amusing!
on the matter of statues-whats happened to the one of the two rabbits in the tyre that was at the top of grafton street-what was that statue all about anyways?

I've often seen Mcdonalds drink cup in the hands of the angle figures at the bottom of the O'Connell statue :p

It's been up there for a month or two. Very impressive that someone that was drunk enough to come up with the idea, also had the motor skills to scale the statue and put the bottle there.
