whats the story with them??

i noticed members using them on my forums, so i desided to make a few for the sites..
but i dont really know what they are all about..

lol tell me about it.. one of my members has a 1000 x 100 px sig pic, others have 800 x 600 photos of them and their mates hahaha

How the hell do I do the "Elliptical Marquee Tool, create an oval effect, from top left corner to top right corner, fill it and then change the oppacity" bit ?

I trying to make it fade, can someone do a step by step on that bit plz

I've done the rest of it myself.

Looks well RuggieBear. You should do a different colour than the orange gradient for the RuggieBear one, the bear would stand out more.

I'd go with a bit of a drop shadow on bear .. and a soft black outline ..

So anyone actually submit any to userbars?

Also, I'm having issues of sorts with the 1px black border...my instance of PS seems to be ginving me 2px borders when I select 1px in the form field; any ideas? PS7.0 BTW...

there'sthis tutorial which explains pretty much how to do any kind of basic user bar like those ones.
Although it'sw for photoshop I guess if you use psp you will know how to do those same things on it.
