I've posted this in the bargain section also but i though some here may be interested.
Aldi have a camera security system, motion activated, night vision,high quality picture, 17 meters of cable, also two way audio for 50 euro. You won't get the likes of this cheaper anywhere.
Given that a memeber had his car vandelised near his house something like this may help in the future

Great shout dubtom.

I've a wireless CCTV installed that feeds directly to a preset channel on the TV. The camera is up high pointing down to my gate on the street - but has a red LED so you'd know it was there. You also need the all-important prominant "protected by CCTV sticker".

I might look at the Aldi one though for the extra features.

Same type of thing, this connects to the tv and activates when someone enters it's view,I suppose it's possible to connect to a vcr also. Excellent picture quality.

Yeah the ALDI one looks good. I made up a system with bits from eBay and had the cameras front and back on my house !

Goo peace of mind IMO !
