    hi,
my drink of choice is generally guinness,
whether in a pub or at home.
however when the opportuinty arises ill try something different.
i like the oyster stout in the porterhouse, not too keen on the plain.
i dont particulary like the brew 39 and would rarely touch the beamish...

does anyone know if there are other stouts availble in a "draught" can with an alternative taste to guinness that i could give a try over the cristmas season?

    cheers...

Don't Murphys do an in can draught. If you like the darught in can concept and system - I highly recommend the english bitters in the draught flow cans - Boddingtons is very acceptable - trouble is none of the irish supermarkets hav ethe brains to stock it - they don't recognise the fact there are probably over 100,000 consumers in the country who used to drink bitter when they lived in England

Subway, Not much chance in Ireland, take a look at the UK real ales thread, this subject has been much debated. Many requests have been sent to Tesco to stock either Boddingtons, John Smiths or Tetleys - so far to no avail. I suggest if you want to add to the debate visit the www.Tesco.ie web site and go to the comments section and make your views known.

I agree with you about Murphys by the way.
