Quick, there's an episode of South Park on on MTV at the moment which I think nicely parallels the Irish Ferries fiasco!

I'd rather not taint my television with MTV...

So can you tell me which episode it is?

My guess is that it's the Goobacks one (which isn't much of a parallel of the Irish Ferries situation).

I just don't want to turn that channel on for fear of seeing Madonna parading around her 48 year old legs.

Oh.. and lets not forget the wall to wall ring tone adverts.

I liked MTV back in the days when they had presenters with strange european accents.

Ah yes, I seem to remember a certain Antoine De Caunes (sp?) of 'Eurotrash' fame being one of the early MTV Europe "VeeJay's". And how he used to always stand with his hands behind his back. To this day, I'm still convinced he was actually handcuffed because I don't think I ever saw him with his hands not behind his back. And the way he used to sort of keep bouncing up and down occasionally on his feet and leaning forward while he talked. In fact, I still think he does it to this day on 'Eurotrash'. What a strange man! :D

God, does anyone remember when MTV sponsored the old Simtek Formula 1 team (this was in 1994, 1995) and they used to send Davina McCall to some of the Grand Prix and she knew nothing about the drivers, the cars, nothing. She'd go up to just about anyone in the paddock who looked even vaguely like a racing driver and ask them the most stupid of questions, in her very annoying, over-the-top hyperactive way that she used to do (probably because she was coked up to the eyeballs! :D ). It was cringeworthy to watch. Hmmm, I wonder what ever happened to her! ;):D
