Tickets aren't going to get cheaper closer to the gig so you may as well get 'em now! Don't know if it'll sell out. It might.
I'm going. Should be a good show. I saw them at Witnness a few years ago and they were very good, even if Julian Casablancas did appear to be off his face on chemicals.

For gigs at The Point I always stay in Jury's Custom house. Nearest hotel to the place and do a decent 'pre-gig' buffet.

I presume they'll stay at the Four Seasons or something akin

yea very excited. i saw them play juice box live earlier on mtv2. have to say it was incredibly rough and out of tune but im sure they will have mastered it by then.. new album rocks. 'fear of sleep' - best on it.

I am shocked it is not sold out yet. the belfast one and I think all the UK ones went pretty quickly. Foo fighters have played a lot here over the years, at festivals etc so many casual fans will not fork out again, especially for a tuesday. Stokes have played twice, first time they were relatively unknown, tickets went in a flash the last time, thought it was the olympia. I thought the fairly low price would attract people. I suppose most people into the strokes would not buy seated though.

Is the new album out, or is it online somewhere?

EDIT: Foo fighters is sold out.

If the strokes standing tickets are sold out, does anyone know whether I'd be able to sneak into standing with only a seating ticket?? I really wanna go, it's just I'm too broke to buy a ticket at the moment..and now if I do get the money together it'll have to be seating :(

asked in another thread. It is 50/50 IME, seating downstairs is obviously a better idea. I was able to slip out under a barrier before. If your mate has a standing ticket you can get it from them over the barrier, go around to the bar and back in to standing while your friend doesnt leave.

I'm gonna wait until the new album comes out (31st december, right?) before buying a ticket. Just hope that they're not all gone by then...
