How can you change your playing name on this site?

not sure, i think you have to apply to your local district court...

or maybe you can't change your name on PPP, not sure...

    Jesper,
I dont believe you can too easily.
Think you would have to close the account, open a new one with a new credit card etc.
Its not worth it really, people don't read anything into your name anyway, unless its KingFish or AgroGirl !!!
You should worry more about the notes we have on you :)

contact PPP's online manager and see what they say

You can just ask the manager to change your display name, its easy enough to do.

I can give a definitive reply on this because it’s actually something I’ve been on to PPP about. I couldn’t use Fatboydim on the site because there is already a Fatboydim on Tribeca… and that Fatboydim is me. But I prefer PPP skin to VCs for obvious reasons. So I’ve been stuck with Lenco. Now it can be changed [I want to make it Fatb0ydim] but only if you have not availed of any current bonus promotion… Ie: Pokergod one. This I think expires end of January so I should then be able to change my name by then though it would be by setting up a new account. However this is because of having an account already on the computer… You can in theory set up a new account on a different computer… But you cannot have multiple accounts. At least you’re not supposed to. Hope that helps.

Thank you Len. Do you think if you were not at the very top of our tournament leaderboard well on your way to more gold than you could eat and built as to pose a challenge to even the most accommodating branded shirt. That you might come and work with us?? :0) ;0)

So here is the lowdown for all thee who wish to know. Changing names is technically possible but not permitted under normal circumstances. This rule can be overidden under certain circumstances:

Your a flithy bugger and your name belays this complaints have come in and we have no choce.
Your name is Amaru and you have taken up the challenge of winning 5 STT's in a row and you ask Nikki to arrange this for you as you are afraid boardsters might attempt to thwart your efforts
You have a particularly valid reason for this request (IE the russian mafia is after you as you were not particularly nice to Nikita daughter of Stevros the last time she walked into the Fitz and asked you for a light)

Quite a lot of admin work is involved in doing this and as Len says if you are enrolled in a promotion it will muck this up for you.

Can be done but we are very reluctant.

6 threads about PPP on the first page of the poker forum at the moment, tis a bit ridiculous. People should ping a manager or email support before posting here. I hope boards is receiving massive amounts of moolah! :v:

Just a quick one folks to let you know we're still awake!!:D

I'm a supervisor on PPP and have up to this point resisted the temptation to post at the risk of everything I say being blown entirely out of proportion etc...

I'm sure 1 or 2 of you may have been awake and watching the giveaway for the Christmas Cracker ticket.

Before the threads start reading FIX, COLLUSION, CHEATING.....
We have been monitoring the events that took place on the final table of tonights tourney and have acted accordingly with relation to the players who finished first and second (I wont name). Both will no longer be playing on the Tribeca network.

Our 3rd place player will now take the ticket

If you have seen this you will know what I am on about, if not it does'nt matter lol.

You are aware this is the internet and was built on gossiping.....;)

I did not watch the final table but had an idea something was up when we all got a strange message from a host.

Blatant shenanigans between 1st and 2nd place. Ridiculous actually. Although the tournament was a giveaway our stance remains the same. Break the rules - attempt to assist another player at the expense of others in the tournament on our site and your out on yer ear for good.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow. I am off to me bed ;0) GL to all who are playing sats and the main tourney.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

Actually deals are quite common in poker - I know of several ppp players who were once involved in splitting a tournament 9 ways at the expense of other players who had been knocked out, Ill name names if you like.

It would be a pleasure... Ofcourse I'd only ever turn a crisis into a drama. :D

    Se you in Brum.

confirmed that this was not a deal being done heads up. prohibited play and deal making between 2 players BEFORE it got to heads up.
