[REQUEST] MP3 player with SD card slot

    Hi all

I recently got screwed over by a German website called Technikdirekt.com

Ordered a couple of items from them, mainly a Philips SA230 MP3 player with SD card slot for my brother for Chrsitmas pressie. The item was in stock even up until my order was dispatched, about 3 days after initial order, but they shipped the order without the MP3 player saying it had gone out of stock!!! Pi**ed off because I bought the SD card from them also.

I hate liars and cheats like that, rang them to complain and I was told that it was not their fault and that I could return the SD card (very ignorant).

Anyway, my request is if anybody knows if there is anywhere in Ireland or UK that I can get this MP3 Player or other Branded MP3 Player with SD card slot before Christmas?

Sorry about the rant earlier in the message!!

Well there is the iAudio X5 and iRiver H320 or H340. Neither of these have direct SD card slot but they offer USB on the go, which means you can hook your camera up to it and transfer from SD card this way (I'm not sure if you can just transfer images or what the story is, I'm pretty sure you could transfer everything though). I don't know if this is what you're looking for but both are excellent MP3 players. I don't think the iRiver is for sale any more, maybe in some places, but you can get the iAudio in Peats, Parnell Street.

    You could try these guys:

    Linky

They are in th UK, I have used them before and shipped very fast, only thing is that shipping may be a bit pricey
I suggest getting a few bits like blank discs off them too, they are really cheap!!

    or 7Dayshop.com
    http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_7&products_id=100694 £8.99
Cheaper postage, but chances are you won't get it this side of Christmas.

...with An Post doing the last mile? No chance. I waited for upwards of 3 and a half weeks for a small packet to come from them, which they dispatched 2 days after I ordered. The only difference their dearer postage option makes is that you jump the queue in how fast it leaves the channel islands....how long it ends up doing circuits of the country's sorting offices is entirely at the behest of our mess of a postal service, especially at this time of year...
