Anyone else playing this *wonderful* *wonderful* game.

First game i got for my DS when i bought it today. I absolutly love it.

the levels are not as messy as the sonic advance ones, actually close to the feeling of the original sonic levels, while at the same time the new dash move gives the gamer the best speed rush ever in a platform. the jumping between the two screens is also a quite exciting gimmick.

Of course the special stage is an absolute blast and is quickly pushing its way into the top 3 best special stages in a sonic game (the button trick and space harrier esqu attacking bad guys are great additions)

up to level 5 so far, its alot more unforgiving game compared to the other sonic games.

I love the bosses, esp the very neat reference to Sonic Team's other great game.

Also the song on the bonus stage. IS she saying "David Bowie" in the lyrics? cause thats what it sounds like.

I've been holding out for a new Sonic game for a while and this looks great. Another DS game to add to my to-buy list.

If he only bought it last Saturday and had it finished Sunday, I'd bring it back for a refund saying you bought it for someone for a birthday present who already had it and wants a *different* game.

WAAIIIT!, Nintendogs is fun initially but you'll get VERY VERY bored of it after about a week or two. Get Mario Kart or Castlevania instead, two excellent, excellent games.

Or Meteos or Advance Wars. The DS is having a really good time of it at the moment. :)

Had a quick play of my brothers. Seemed really good. He said it's really short though.

All good sonic games are short.

thats the point, its about replayability, the best ones are the games you can go back and play the same levels again and again and not get bored. Cause the levels are that good! Course the perfect sonic game was Sonic 3 and knuckles cause it had replayability AND it was relatively long.

prob why i didnt like sonic advance as much as the older sonic games, they didnt encourage replayability. And the recent Shadow the hedgehog game is the worse offender of being both short and having no replay value.

I'm hoping Rush will give me alot of replay fun.

(course dont take my opinion as fact, i am a complete sonic nut.)

I'm getting this for 'my nephew' this christmas, so I won't be able to play it until then.

    Looking forward to it though.

Now that does sound good. I hated the Sonic Advance games because of the basic uninteresting level design. Pity it's short. We need another monster Sonic game like Sonic 2 and Sonic & Knuckles.

yeah the levels are a bit reminisicent of sonic 3.

the first act would introduce you to the unique elements of the level.

and the second act will force you to be an expert in using them.

For example the egyptian level, first time through, you have a rooms where you get attacked, and this moving platform on which you gotta dodge bad guys on.

then the second act, has you doing more complicated versions of these. including a bizarre streets of rage moment where you move sonic around like a streets of rage game, dodging stuff etc.

At the moment i'm on level 6 with sonic, level 5 with blaze. (which is actually the same level for both of them)

the game is very unforgiving, the current level is a nightmare to complete. Think Wing fortress zone from sonic 2, but 10 times faster and alot more gaps...and thats how this level works. Its fun, but its also stupidly hard.

Have you had a chance to try out the two player features yet? How do they work?

It's a race mode through the levels. It's good fun :)

I didn't like it at first, but now, I'm loving it. Great fun, and I love the special stages. Think Sonic 2 Special Stages with enemies and better controls. Excellent.

best way to describe special stages is sonic 2 halfpipe meets space harrier.

havnt had a chance, onely need one cart though (but i dont know anyone else with a DS) it plays like sonic 2's multiplayer by the looks of it.

I'm on the final boss. All the bosses in this are annoyingly difficult (you know how to beat them, it just takes alot of luck to actually beat them)
