Hi, I'm looking to pick up a PCI TV tuner card and want one that can pick up freeview channels (BBC, E4), do cards with this ability exist or do PCI TV cards only pick up terrestrial channels such as RTÉ and TV3 (if that's the case, I won't bother!)?

freeview can only be picked up in the uk, it's their digital terrestrial tv service. A TV card will only give you whatever stations you can currently pick up in your house cos you'll have to plug in a cable or aerial in the card. Now, if you put up a dish and got a satellite decoding card you could pick up free-to-view channels including BBC but not E4...but that's a whole new thing again

Pc world have a DVb Usb one for €40 which is actually a bargain.

But you need a dish for the free sat channels and some sort of aerial for rte which may not work due to ****ness of signal.
