    I have this mouse about 3 weeks and I just got a message to say that my batterys are just about dead !! how long should I expect to get from a set of batteries in my mouse?

    It depends on how much usage its getting, distance from the base station, battery type, machine left on...

    3 weeks doesn't sound right, we use a few and they seem to last a 4 to 5months at least, but they are not in constant use.

    ive had one for the past 6 months and no battery problems.
    i fnind the range on the wirless to be about 1 foot tho.

    any further and keys stop working along with messages such as low battery.

    i think its to do with various other wireless stuff in the room/house

    It is in the office, I have a HP notebook in a docking station and the wireless keyboard and mouse. It is only about 12 inches from the transmitter.

    It is in use almost all day.

    I didn't change the batteries but and today I haven't gotten any messages about battery level. so may be it was a false alarm !
