On about half the websites you visit you can change the text size by holding down the Ctrl key and rolling the mouse wheel. It won't work here, but it seems to work on the majority of sites - eg >> www.enn.ie

It does work here if you use FF or Opera. It doesn't if you use IE ;)

Opera pwns for resizing webpages. It resizes everything, not just the text. And you can have it fit any page to the width of the window, and automatically have it render in small mode (looks kinda like browsing on a mobile phone) if the window size is very small.

    Opera's the boss.

did you know that you can search for words  ctrl+f
In FireFox you can also use the key '/'
or Tools / Options / Advanced / Begin finding.. so it starts searching as soon as you type - no need for Ctrl-F

    Re wheel mouse + Ctrl.
Sounds like yet another Microsoft Innovation that was already used by others.

If by feature you mean a guideline that has been in the Microsoft UX guide since around Windows 95, then yes...

tidied up post , was referring to wheel mouse

minirant why do they keep changing the user interface and especially the names and shortcut keys seems like every second version of windows you have to learn off a new set of shortcuts /minirant

There's a much more useful feature of IE:

    Alt+F4

    ^_^
