50$+ STT's

I'm considering taking a shot at 50$ STT's. How much more difficult are they to 20$ ones? I've occasionally played one on Pokerstars and not found it to be that different to the 20 ones but it is too small a sample to be able to draw any real conclusions from it.

Where are the softest games to be found? My plan is to put a maximum of 1k of my bankroll on the line for these and play about 50 or so to get an idea if I can make money from them. I'm a bit wary of the boredom that set in while doing a similar 20$ experiment and wonder what people who play STT's only do to stop this? With the 20$ experiment I had a high ROI from the first 50 but my second 50 were terrible largely due to lack of focus. I'll probably 2-table or maybe 3-table these (or possibly 2-table with an MTT as well). Opinions, thoughts etc?

I play on Paddypower and i find them pretty easy to win, After getting some tips on bankroll i'm going to start back at the $5 STT and see how i get on , but the $50 and $20 are pretty much the same standard i find,

I did play some on Poker stars and found them to be alot harder. So if i had to pick between PPP and pokerstars pick PPP

i suggest playing them on party. they fill up faster than on any other site, there's some truely awful players there (although some equaly excellent ones too but far fewer). the structure is quite fast and it becomes somewhat of a crapshoot in the late stages but really what online sngs aren't in the late stages?

software is simple easy to use, blah blah blah. regarding the boredom thing, i suggest you multitable if thats possible, its really not that hard when you get used to it. keeps you on your toes and helps prevent boredom and tilt.

    good luck

You will need a bigger bankroll. I have taken hits for $800 on bad runs. I play the $50s on Party. These are 10 player with only 1000 starting chips. Although the structure is brutal they are better value as you get $45 profit for 3rd and they last on average 30-40 minutes
(blinds go up every 10 hands) They players are about the same as the Pokerstars $20s.

I have a bigger bankroll but intend using 1k as a stopping point. If I lose 1k then i'll stop playing them. I want play 50-100 of them to give me an idea of how I would fair at this level but i'm worried about getting bored like I did at the 20$ and throwing away a chunk of BR because i'm not concentrating enough. I found my play got very mechanical before while playing STT's.

Surely the reason you get only 40 profit on Stars is that it's a 9 handed game so it balances out? I've played 10's and 20's on Party before (i know the starting stacks are smaller) and the structure is horrible. I'd prefer to play the 50's at Star's (or somewhere with a better structure) unless there's a huge jump in the quality of the opposition. What's Full Tilt's STT's like?
