    i doubt it as a certain part of windows has to load into the ram, that is of course you are using windows.

    Depends on what you mean by "operate". It'll probably bleep (the only way it has of yelling "where's my RAM gone???") but otherwise, it's an electrically powered doorstop/footstool/insert-furniture-joke-here...
