As a bass player and guitar player I have two at the moment

Blood Sugar Sex Magic for bass and

Permission to Land for Guitar. Im not a huge fan of the Darkness but this album has some cracking guitar and plenty of solo opportunities

at the moment it would be Veneer by josé gonzález it's tough to figure them out as there's no real tabulature or sheet music.

Queens of the Stone Age: Songs for the deaf is great to play along to lots of interesting licks and riffs

Clutch : Pure Rock Fury the riffs are amazing

Tom Waits: Rain Dogs quirky guitar lines

I like to listen to long instrumental songs like The Jimmy Cake or Can or Coil so you can get into a rhythm and play around it for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. I never really stick in an entire album to play along to, just whatever takes my fancy at the time.
