I'm looking at getting this DVD writer for Christmas, basically i want to make back up's of my dvd collection and stuff like that. I want the quickest there is and i think it is 16x is it? I don't want to spend to much, around this price range. Any advice or do you think this is good?

Which one would you go for?

Also while i'm on this topic, could someone explain to me what the difference between DVD+ and DVD- is ?
Because i'm looking at buying a box of blanks off the site but i don't know what the differnece between the two disks are.

    Thanks alot,

according to reviews benq, the nec causes some bad burns and has media incompatibilities.

TBH i reckon these things are all the same inside with a different badge on the front. Over the last few months iv been through every brand imaginable and they all work away with no noticable difference :).

the nec and the beng are both top notch burners ,have a look at the cd freaks forum and read through the beng and the nec forums , it might help you decide or confuse you even more , i have two nec burners at present and have rarely had a bad burn
