After buying one of them aldi remote control plug units, I connected it to my z5500 logitech speakers. Hey presto, a push of a button would completely power down the speakers. After a day or two it stopped working, the speakers that is. So I unplug the thing and put it one a standalone socket, it still doesn't want to work, no power light at all. Any ideas what the problem could be?

maybe the fuse inside has blown from powering them down from the plug too much ?
