what do you think, just ordered one. The one i'll be getting will be a lefty and it's a Les paul standard plus so it has grover machine-heads and gibson pickups instead of epiphone. I just love that colour and its only costing me 420euro

I reckon with a re-wiring you could be onto a winner. Grovers are excellent, but I've really no experience with Gibson pickups.

Lovely looking guitar but I think the Epi headstock is too big. I hope you enjoy it!! ;)

    Is that it?

I'd have to say, i'd go for a AmSe Strat over that any day to be honest... But as Karl said, a rewiring etc could prove fruitfull! But it still has the epi badge on it, which will haunt you when trying to sell it on.

EDIT - Just saw you only payed 420 for it, in that case you seem to have gotten a bargain!! How old is it? Condition? Have you seen it? It seems awfully cheap compared to what it is new

ive the lefty Lp standard in cherry sunburst, its a nice guitar i switched the pups for some SD alp-II's and its has a great tone now, are they gibson epiphone pickups cause the stocks in them are not that bad at all, but yea check out the wiring, ive 2 epihpones, a SG and a Lp i had to fix the soldering on the jacks and i had to replace the pickup switch on the Lp the one on the SG is a bit shakey, but its in its case i havnt seen it in about 3 months =/

Same here, I had an Epi SG and I had to do the same kind of work on it. Put an SD '59 and JB into it, got it rewired and had the pup selector replaced and now shes beautiful! :D

it's brand new with gibson alnico pickups, i've seen it and played it on my own amp (a line 6 spiderII) and i think i might put in a couple of bare-knuckle humbuckers i have lying around
