    Hi Guys

Hope you can help, while using my comp the flat screen suddenly went very dark, you can just about make out the images on the screen.

Anyone know what might have happened, before I go down the painful route of support?

    Hope you can help….

Sounds like your backlight is gone.
I assume you've tried switching off and on and a gentle tap on the side?

Ok I don't think its a cable problem.

I unplug the cable from the back of the comp and turn on the monitor and the same thing.

Later that day it started working again, but now its back to a dark screen. Even when I unplug the monitor from the computer.

Anyone know what the problem is and where I can get it fixed?

    Regards

Try the LCD on another computer.
If it's the backlight, here's a cheap way of fixing it up:

Maybe it's late. Maybe I'm tired. But, what's your point?
