Im looking at moving from Norton AntiVirus and I see that Panda and Trend both hav products that pimp the idea of Wireless Firewall as part of their security suites.

Just wondering if these are just buzzwords or would they servce a useful purpose over another vendor that doesnt include this module?

not sure about the panda products but on the trend side, it all depends on the product you looking at, the home user or the enterprise product.

If its PC-Cillin 2005(home user), then the standard firewall component protects you on a wireless network, but they have a wi-fi intrusion detection module, which scans your network for rogue machines joining your home network at present intervals.

The enterprise product (OfficeScan) has a firewall component, but also provides protection for your attached "wireless" pda, e.g. palm or pocket pc
