.... OK, so probably not everyone holds onto ticket stubs. But a lot of people do!

Out of the gigs i've been to.. these are the only ones that survived! :D

Ranging from the Chili's in 2002 to David Gray under 2 weeks ago. Interesting to see how much the Ticketmaster tickets have changed in the last 3 years alone.

So.. if you've got stubs and a digital camera handy.. post 'em up!

I've two boxes of ticket stubs, I'm not digging them all out.

Was cleaning out a drawer about 2 weeks ago. Found ticket from Oasis in The Point, Dec 97.

Anyone at it? Not normal Ticketmaster tickets, instead they were specially produced with pictures of the band on them

I like it when they do that. The promoter U:Mack did that for their gigs up until recently, it was nice while it lasted.

What kind of fools are you?! It's a gig - take yourself, and take home only memories. I don't get why people who keep festival armbands for a year, until next years festival, or take home sweaty tattered ticketstubs. I don't even take a camera into the arena because I know then I might be inclined to take photographs when I should be enjoying myself!

Armbands get chopped off as soon as I leave the campsite - ticket stubs get the bin on the way home, for fear I accidently leave them in my pockets when I put my trousers in the washing machine!

I hold on to them as well. Have "real" tickets from Prince, Judas Priest and so on. You can view them on www.concert-reviews.net

On the first page you already see the one of Prince, Duran Duran, Judas Priest

I miss the old days where you got cool and unique tickets:(

Yeah i was at it. The "Be Here Now" tour if i remember correctly. As for other gigs, most stubs are binned and there are various ones lying in various places around my hosue, Glasto, Paul McCartney, Dylan etc

Its pretty common for people to want to have souveniers. Especially if you go to a LOT of festivals / concerts. Its just to jog your memory about the event.

    ppfff.. concert newbie ;)

I keep all mine. Drawers full of the things. If I counted up all the money that I have spent on concernt tickets over the years, I would probably be the proud owner of a Ferrari or such other performance sports car :p

As for the Oasis tickets, yeah I remember those with the pics. Anyone remember the ticket for Parc Ui Caoimh in 1996? Similar thing to the point with Noel and Liam on the ticket. Different for each day i think as well....

    Ah the memories....

Yeah i was at that gig in cork. the ticket stubs were fairly cool for that allright. I have way too many ticket stubs to photograph, I might give it a go though.

    Black Sabbath
    System of a Down
    Rolling Stones
    Pixies
    Therapy?
    Megadeth
    Velvet revolver.
    Oasis
    Manic street preachers
    Foo Fighters
    Prodigy
    Radiohead

Sentimental fools. What difference does it make? I like to keep my stubs, I don't see anything foolish in it.

Here's something I did a while back when I got my (now-deceased) scanner and was bored. You can see the Oasis tickets mentioned in there. The best one is the small AC/DC stub from 1982, my first major gig and still one of the best shows I've seen. There's a good few more to be added since I did this, too. :D

looking at these scans make me hate ticketmaster tickets, they are so fuppin' huge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

I prefer them slightly to the tickets on the continent which are much longer and skinnier and just dying to rip themselves in half. However in Vienna the concert tickets come with free public transport passes. Now that's cool.
