XBox 360 Face Buttons - Analog?

I've noticed something when playing PGR3, accelerator is either on full, or off, there's no in between. As a quick test, I switched to the default trigger controls, and control is indeed analog using them.

However, as a long time Gran Turismo player I'm more comfortable with using face buttons, and I expect them to be analog as they are on PS2. The 360 joypad feels like their analog, there is resistance there and you can press harder or softer on them, so my question is, are they actually analog and the game is not using this, or are they just digital buttons? I'll be quite disappointed if they're digital.

I've been googling but can't seem to find any information about it.

if your talking about the thumbsticks, yes they are analog, but doesn't nessecerally mean the pgr3 developers have support for it (i aint played it yet so dont quote me), im sure they do, the xbox pad has over 312 diff pressure points on the triggers for example, ps2 has 10, lol.

edit: we talking bout accelerating the car right?

No, the face buttons, X,Y,A,B. On a PS2 they are analog and pressure sensitive.

The PS2 has 255 degrees of sensitivity in every button, all shoulder buttons, x, circle, square, triangle, even the d-pad apparently, not so you'd notice.

This proved important in a number of games, particularly driving games, and also Metal Gear Solid makes very noteable use of it(something that really hit home when I struggled with the gamecube vesion of Twin Snakes). Madden is another game that springs to mind.

The xbox also had analog buttons, not just the triggers.

My question is, does the 360? Obviously the triggers are, but are A, B, X and Y?

I've ben googling lots, and all I've found is other people on mesage boards like this speculating that they're not. It seems like a huge step backwards to get rid of the pressure sensitive buttons in my opinion so I'm hoping they haven't. The buttons feel pressure sensitive when you press them. But I've found no evidence that they are and there doesn't seem to be official information available anywhere.
