Hit the "/" key on any webpage, and you can start searching for text. It shows the first matching highlighted result as you type, or turns the text box red if there is no matching text.

It also allows querying custom services by IP (right mouse button) and hostname (left mouse button), like whois, netcraft. Additionally you can copy the IP address to the clipboard. I tried DTA and didn't like it at all, it just didn't do the job.
So when I tried to download all videos on a page it just wouldn't happen, I'd have to do it manually (although it did mean I could do it all in one go and leave it to work away... stuff still timed out though)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,564 ✭✭✭CyberGhost

which website did you try to download videos from?

question is how do I swich profiles to get back to the one with all my bookmarks

    if that makes sense

eg had a hmm.messiah one, then had to start "new1", how do I get back to "hmm.messiah)

Don't know if its the same or not, but i use IE tab instead of IE view. With this there is no need to open IE at all, which i presume is what IE view does.

ietab is a vary neat Firefox Extension that allows you to switch between the IE and Firefox rendering engines right within the Firefox browser.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&id=1419

    I'll give it a go..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,564 ✭✭✭CyberGhost

I prefer IE View tbh, If you need to use IE, it's better to use as stand alone and not integrated within Firefox.

if that ever happens again close it, hit ctrl+alt+delete, go to processes and stop firefox.exe

It happens cos there's still a firefox process running.

Can't remember how to change profiles, it's something like going to start>run>firefox -p or something along those lines... someone else will know
