Ok i have a problem but cant seem to find the solution, can anyone help??

    I have this PC:
AMD Athlon64 3500+ 90nm @stock (also have all stock parts and additional cables etc.)
1 GB PC3200 OCZ Platinum Edition Revision 2
    Tagan 480Watt Silent PSU
    Sapphire 256MB X800XT @stock
Audigy 2 Platinum Edition Soundcard 5.1 (THX Certified)
Lian Li PC 65 Aluminium Case w/side window
    2 x 80GB SATA Seagate Barracuda's (7,200rpm)
Abit AV8 3rd Eye Pro Motherboard w/uGuru clock
    NEC 3500AG 16 x DVD/RW Dual Layer w/lian li front bezel
    Silver Floppy
    Belkin 54Mbps wireless g card

I had to reinstall windows last week and am just getting this thing back to a good working orde, got the ati catalys control centre and driver from the ati site and installed it but now when i run Battlefront 2 i get this kind of skipping during the game, almost like it cant keep up with the frame rate. have tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it to no avail. im prob leaving out so much info here so ask if there s anything else.
A bit of help would be really appreciated here as its getting to me, i only got this recently with the intention of being able to play new games so this is a big problem.
