South Dublin Indie band seeks bassist

Yeeshkameesh, what what!

Hello please.

As the title might suggest, we're an indie band in south dublin looking for a bassist. We're writing our own music, it's going quite well in fact, and we play covers too. Unfortunately, our current bassist can't keep playing with us because of educational obligations (those are some serious grown-up words, i know.) If there's anyone out there who can play the bass fairly well and has some indie in their blood, reply to this and we'll talk rock.

As far as what our music is like; we're trying to get our own kind of sound going, which is a cool thing to be part of. We're nothing too heavy but at the same time we like to rock out with the c*ck out but also just hang out with the wang out where necessary. Our influences would include:

Death Cab for Cutie, Wolf Parade, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin (mightn't have heard of them, they're from England), Queens of the Stone Age, The Frames, The Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Stars, Broken Social Scene, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah etc

We've been playing gigs and writing music and having a good time with it so if this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, or you know someone who would, reply to this. Even if you just want to ask a few questions it's allllll good. Half of us are in UCD so if you go there I can help you outsmart the lunch ladies. We'd be looking for someone around the 18 to 20 age bracket...

Thanks for your interest conanm... we're just keepin this on the downlow for the moment cause we're not exactly certain what the story is, if you're interested by all means pm me. We're sort of indie rock though with blues and funk mixed in
