Was playing pgr3 on a demo pod in gamestop in henry street and i noticed that the game seemed to have a alot of jagged edges on both the cars and the tracks. Was this just because it was on a 23" screen or maybe because they have it at the wrong res, but i thought the should look alot sharper than that....

Could be at the wrong resolution, more likely to be anti aliasing issues though.

Absolutely no issues like that with the retail version. One of the most gorgeous games I've ever played

There are a few jaggies on the shadows inside the car and it'd be nice to have them smoothed out. That's at 720p

I played it there too but i noticed when i looked at someone playind it at about 4-5feet away the jaggies are less visable which would be the normal distance most ppl are from their tv.

The graphics by no means perfect. There are noticeable anti aliasing issues. Personally I think the graphics in Need for speed: Most wanted are superior. I noticed alot of jaggies around the rear windows and in the scenery. I still think its a great game and after a while you dont notice the graphical imperfections.

Think I had a go on the same demo pod and have to agree - if you look at the outline of your car as you're playing, you can see jaggies all round it - definitely NOT like all the screenshots would have had you belive...

Apparently PGR 3 is actually only 1067x600 and its the xbox 360 that outputs it at 1280x720 - tut, tut, Bizarre, this aint next generation...

I've been playing PGR3 for a few days now and I haven't noticed any jaggies at all, I'm running it on a 32" HD LCD TV and only sitting about 6 foot away so I would have thought that kinda thing would be fairly obvious. I'll have another look tonight and report back. ;)

I also play using a 32" HD Lcd Tv. There are jaggies and thats at 720p PGR3s HD resolution.

Now you do know the hd component cable you get with the premium 360 has a switch on it to set it to HD or normal tv?

I'm getting the same with my Samsung LE32, I have the Xbox switched to 1080i or 720p and I am still getting jagged lines on the screen.

Can anyone shed some light on this ??

Hmm im not sure maybe try the VGA cable.

I certainly dont get any jaggies on my PJ, and thats with component, Ill see if theres an improvement or not with a VGA cable...whenever I find one.
    Anyone see one around?

The jaggies could be being caused by the tv having to scale up 720p which the VGA cable takes care of by allowing the 360 to scale it up.

wow, there are jaggies present on mine as well and it's running 720P but I had never noticed until I went looking, I can say that it hasn't effected the game play or my overall experience of the game at all, even after looking closly to find them I sat back on the couch and played away and didn't notice them again while concentrating on trying to whoop people on line :D

Unfortunatly it was mostly me getting whooped, but I'll keep racing, the 2 wins I have had so far were worth the dozens of 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 's for the sense of achievement ;)

Same with me, only one win online so far, but it was probably the most satisfying race ever :D
