My .45 should pass the trigger weight test!any hope of a squad place?

Not only would it pass the trigger weight les, the rounds would pass the target, the backstop, the inner wall, the outer wall and about a mile before it came to a stop :D
But wander on over, we're arranging to have a few air pistols on authorisation and hopefully an air pistol RO or two from up north to keep an eye on things (as all our ROs are trained for rifle but not really for air pistol - you have to watch for different things for safety, as you know). Have a try at the more accurate discipline ;):D:D
And of course, hang around afterwards for a coffee by the fire in the pub and a natter!

I would love to get over on Sunday, I am afraid this particular Sunday is out, but certainly I will make a effort to visit the next event! it is only a 10 min drive for me. The very best of luck with the weekend.

Well there's the friday and saturday as well les if you're interested! There won't be a ten-shot final (we'd need 9 firing points to run one properly and we only have six :( ) so you won't be missing out on much by showing early, other than the presentation of prizes.

Is your club motto not a trifle sexist??

Nope. It's a seanfocal and the sentiment is gender-free even if the language isn't (and we didn't draft the language).

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that sexism could not be backdated. Though I'm also sure that it's not a modern phenomenon. And there is no such thing as a gender-free sentiment where gender is used, especially when there is a gender-free noun available.

Ahem. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal...
Last I checked, that noble sentiment was not deemed to be irrepairably damaged by its gender-specific phrasing :D

Anyway, back on topic... the medals are done :) And they look smashing if I do say so myself :)

A good match, all told. A few more lessons learnt on running pistol matches (this being the second one WTSC's run), one or two learnt about coping with equipment failure for some of our shooters, a decent enough turnout given the time of year, and I think we did right by Paddy. He would have been proud to have seen his son and daughter there for the match, and we were proud that they came to present his cup to one of his closest friends. There are some more photos and comments, to be posted later...
