Hi folks I recently bought a PC from Aldi and am very happy with it. Currently it is linked to a 17"crt for the moment. I'm on the market for a good sized TFT and the current special on the Komplett site caught my eye. Any comments on this one or is there any better sites?
    Regards,
    Skoda.

Is this the one you're talking about?

    Khannie,
I actualy looked this morning and it's gone. It was the Philips 200S4SS but it is back up to €600. I have read other posts and people were saying that 19" were a stretched version of a 17"monitor. If people were going for 19" they would be best going for 20" as it has a better resolution. My favourite would be a 20" widescreen as I think that that is the way things are going. Any recommendations?

It depends on the capable resolution of the monitor. Most 19" are capable of 1280x1024, as are quite a few 17" monitors. However, 1280x1024 on a 17" monitor might look quite squashed, it would likely be better on a 19". My 20" Dell monitor at work can do 1600x1200 max but I don't run it at that.

This is a decent 19" monitor for €300, has 12ms response time. This one is also good, but €60 more.

i have the BenQ t905 (First link above) and find its perfect!! Easier to look and play on than my Dell 17" and obvoiusly cheaper then forkin ot 600+for a 20".

I have the FP937S (2nd link) myself. It's a grand monitor too, gaming, DVDs, etc are all good on it. Can't see why you would need the 1600x1200 resolution unless you're into serious CAD stuff maybe. For home use, the extra size doesn't justify the doubling in price.
