Im looking to spend about €300, and heres whats really important to me:

    - Good picture quality (5' x 7')
    - Optical zoom
    - Good lcd quality
    - Good battery life (very important)
    - Continuous shooting mode would be nice

I would really appreciate your input. What are athe good names in cameras? Fujifilm, Canon? Ive have a Pentax, and it has none of that stuff above. I think lcd quality is very important because we need to know how the picture will look when printed out. I also want something thats not going to die after 6 shots on brand new duracells/rechargeables. Thanks guys.

    Sony DSC S40

This should be about €200-€250 in most shops.

I would never buy in Pixels. Total ripoff, in any service they offer.
The camera exchange in george st is by far much more proffesional.

I had bought a camera in there about a year and a half ago for a (now ex) girlfriend for her 21st. At the time I was in a well paying job... Only when I recently started looking for a camera for myself I realised how much I was ripped off. I would only go in there to browse, and possibly look at models I havent seen in other shops.
