Astra - Channels Disappeared Why?

I have a FTA dish tuned to Astra 1. It originally had Arte in German and French but the German one disappeared a little while back. BBC World was there but has also disappeared. The strangely relaxing Bahn TV consisting of only railway and trains scenes disappeared too. Likewise a few other channels. Most were not replaced with different channels. What I wondered is can I retune my system to look for new channels or to fine-tune to the emply channels. And why does Astra remove channels like that? Anybody know?.

    Look here:
    http://www.lyngsat.com/astra19.html

The clear white ones are on ANALOG.

The pale yellow ones you can watch.

Purple /mauve is data (Like Satellite Internet download, Interactive appplciaction, and Set box new firmware updates)

    Orange is encrpyted.

All satellite owners move around channels.

On Astra2 / Hotbirds at 28.2 you don't notice on a Sky box because SKy send information in form of their custom EPG to retune the box. Similar wit some other Package suppliers.

Try rescan. Or enter the parameters in Lyngsat.

If you only get H channels , or only get V channels or onl;y get channels below 11.7GHz or only get channels above 11.7GHz then you have either a fault in the receiver or the LNB.

If it is the 11.7GHz issues check you did not accidently change either the LNB switch frequency or turn of 22KHz.
