I just got a Dell system given to me, it's about three years old, but I have no idea what the system specs are. Is there any way of checking this without cracking the thing open and taking a look? I need to upgrade the RAM and the hard drive too.

6FQ8VOJ is the service Tag number.

Try looking for a program called Cpu-Z. Its small and efficient and will tell you all about your cpu, memory and mainboard.

You could also just right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware Tab>Hardware Profiles and this will tell pretty much everything about your system.
