Request: Offline Shops

It seems that I've left it too late to order anything from Play.com et al as it's only 2 weeks left until Christmas.

Where would be the best place to buy CDs/Books/DVDs offline at this stage? And by best, I mean cheapest :) (though, selection is also important) - or is there some online shop that's fast enough to have things delivered quick enough?

I wouldn't think it'd be too late from Play. They usually take 6 working days for me, so you should receive your gift in good time.

On your head be it! ;)
    Amazon.com?
It takes a good while to get stuff from .com, and I ordered something last Christmas from .co.uk and the expected delivery date was pushed back to January.

    HMV, Virgin.
Are GoldenDiscs, or some other indie-type places not cheaper than HMV/Virgin. I usually go into them just to browse and look at the prices in discust :p

Tesco shops have chart CDs for e14.95 (it may be a Tesco 'chart' but still has a lot of current CDs). For example Gift Grub is e14.95 at Tesco, and e21.99 in HMV!
They also have books for e5.95, though the book 'chart' is definitely one Tesco made up e.g. they don't have Cecelia Ahern's new book but do have her previous one.

I've sometimes found CDs cheaper in Easons, compared to HMV/Virgin/Golden Discs. It is worth visiting each shop and comparing prices.
