I've heard this term thrown around in training disucssions time and time and again but I'm not really to sure about it. From what I know it seems to be strength built up for sudden bursts or something to do with that effect.

Does anybody do plyometric excercise and can they tell me more about it or where it would be applicable to what training.

Colm is the expert so I'll let him answer it. But,

    I train them.
If you knew someone, or if you, had access to a particular "tracker" you could down load a very god video about it.
The natural and The westside Strangler do them.
Most pro boxers use "jumpsoles" while hitting pads etc.
Medicine ball throws, clap push ups, and wind sprints constitute simple and very effective plyos.

Go here for a great run down:

If anyone starts linking to illegal torrents or illegal torrents websites, you will be banned. Just a friendly warning :)
