    Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
I placed an order with play.com and I got an email back telling me that my card details were incorrect. I phoned the credit card company to make sure that everything was okay with my card (which it was) and I re-entered my card details. I searched play.com web site for a contact number but the only one there is 08458001020 which is a uk free phone number, I think.
Anyway, I have tried calling it as it is written, tried it with 0044 and tried it with 0044 and droped the first zero. I can't seem to get through on any of the numbers. I really need to get in contact with them as I need the cd's and video for christmas. Anyone any ideas? Please help me!

    use cdwow tbh!

maybe send them an email? terms@play.com
    that might get seen

or if you have family/friends in the UK, get them to call the number

or drive to newry and call from there!

ask if play have charged it to your credit card, if not, go elsewhere and cancel if they do.

When that happed to me I got an email from Play with this message:
Please contact our Customer Service Department on 0845 800 1020 (UK only) or +44 (0)1534 877 595 (outside UK). Please have the card registered on the account to hand so that we can process your order. It is not necessary to re-submit your order.
Problem was sorted in a few seconds.

At the moment I wouldn't use Play.com, there using An Post for delivery and are taking at least two weeks to deliver stuff. Anyways something similar happened to a mate of mine, they refused his credit card bacause of his address not matching up to the address the credit card company had for him.

Try emailing info@play.com, they normally get back to you pretty fast.

Not true. I have ordered a lot from them and it nearly always arrives within five days or thereabouts. I would say only about one in ten orders for me have been outside that timeframe. Once, two dvds did not not arrive within two weeks and after I contacted them they sent out two more free — only for the original two to arrive the next day. I find them very good — especially when they publish vouchers in the Daily Mirror ;)

    You couldn't be more wrong!

Ordered stuff on the 29nd - 1st December and got it as early as last Tuesday.

Really Now! Well I placed two separate orders around the start of November and they took about three and a half weeks to come. Which is a right pain because I've ordered loads of times off play in the past and within 10 days you'd have what you ordered.

I know I wouldn't be ordering anything this side of Christmas off them anyways.

I guess it depends on your local sorting office.

Play.com used to take 5 days to get every order to me... but these days it can take between 2-3 weeks.

    It's not play.com's fault... it's An Post.

They are a great site though. I must have bought over 200 DVDs from them over the years.

Are you sure the Credit Card company has your address right? My credit card company had my address as Artane instead of Coolock and it generaly didn't cause problems but one website declined me because of it.

I had placed 2 orders with them one back on 20th of november and 2 then about a week ago. 1 of the cd's i ordered a week ago has arrived and I'm still waiting on the rest of the stuff. can be very strange with the delivery times but i think it's not their fault. Wouldn't be placing anymore orders this side of christmas for presents as they may not arrive.

0845 isn't a free number by the way.

I'm having the same problem with stuff I ordered yesterday. Do they know what a 3V card is / not allow it?
