Well I'm off for a weekend of drinking so I'll post this now and get the vote going Sunday.

Please nominate using the boards nickname of the player in question who you think should win the award for the best performances in offline games this year. To avoid confusion once you have said what you want to say end the post with Nominations: name1, name2 etc.
This way I will have no excuses to leave out Mike. e.g....

Nominations: shortstack because he missed out on the online vote.

    Dave seconded.

Also Oscar who I think went further than anyone else here in the Big One.

Finally, Kevin Maloney, IF he posts here. Excellent live cash/tournament player.

    Nominations: Dave, Bohsman, ??Kevin Maloney??.

Cheers for the nominations lads. I think pokertroll should be included too, hasn't played that much live recently but when he has he's won. Remember the Fitz wsop satellite? So there you go,
    Pokertroll.

Devore too for winning the supersatellite down in Limerick.

Thanks for the nomination Dave but there is no doubt that you will win this award as you have had a great year and proved beyond any doubt that your success in Barcelona was not a flash in the pan.

I haven't played poker in over 2 months now,not even online, can you believe! But I'm finished up in the states now and flying back to Dublin on monday.
First stop will be the Paddy Power Christmas Cracker next Saturday for which Paddy Power have kindly given me a free ticket!
    See you there!

    Daithio

Starting to fluke big results regularly. :) He's so lucky.

    Nominations:

5starpool : Eamon (it is Eamon isn't it? seems to play so irratically, yet consistently at final tables)

obviously, the aforementioned Bohsman, and Pokertroll

Think there should be a 'Best new arrival' subcategory to nominate newer players who wouldn't yet have reached the dizzying heights of the full-time players. In which case ollyk1 who regularly ends in the money in (mainly Fitz) tournaments would get my nomination.

    Hey Roundtower2,

I appreciate the vote of confidence but no way am I close to that good!! I think there is definitely a results reporting bias going on :p:D

My nomination would be BigD for consistency but he needs to get his act together and score a really big win!!:D

Unfortunately I cannot accept this nomination as Eamonn is 5pin5, and I am not. Nice to see my name, even in mistake :D

    Thx ollyk1 but :o

My nomination is Culchie. He's had a great year. I stopped asking Shortstack who had won in the Green Joker game as he was getting a tad repetitive "Culchie.........."

Thanks for the nomination, not that it matters as I think Daithio has it sown up (and rightly so :) )

I think all my nominations have been mentioned already, doesnt Stephen McLean from PE post here? He's had a good year too, I'd nominate him if he is.

    DeV.

I honestly believe that all the above mentioned have shone like stars in the night at some stage or another of the poker year ,and some more consistant than others, and lets be honest consistency is the key guys. But I think we have all over looked one player that is just amazing in tournament and cash game play and my nomination for best offline player definitely goes to that little Iranian sh1t with his fake diamond encrusted fcuking elephant......end of story. Aother beer Rob? yes pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaseeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

Even the thought of Hussein posting on boards is hilarious. And I think he is from one of the -stan type countries (uzbekistan etc). Just to pick nits.....

The youngest guy at the table. Sitting directly after the general. Called him allin with A6 sooted when he told me: you call, you win. He was right! he had K6.

To mention something on topic, i really have nobody to nominate as my pockets arent deep enough to sit with the best. Same goes for all the other boards poker awards. I havent been voting as i think my vote is 95% uninformed

Lads, General Hussein, or The Hangman of Arbil, as he's affectionately referred to by his closest friends, is from Kurdistan.

Personally, I am always delighted when he is at my table - he's great craic.

I thought he was from Cabra?
