decoder with viaccess 2.5?

You are reffering to an art card I assume. Yes it will work

very old original embedded Viaccess may need a Receiver firmware update. Available for many boxes on 19E or via download to PC and then serial cable.

Contact your program provider to assure compatibility of old receivers. Any new CAM or receiver with embedded viacess should be OK, but check with the program provider.
