I'm not vouching for the authenticity of this but IceComms have posted it on their website. Haven't seen anything about it elsewhere. Two friends of mine with this router have complained of slow connections the last couple of days. I have the same one with no problems though.
    Linksys Routers:

It has come to our attention that a security flaw in some Linksys Routers are aiding a DoS (Denial of Service) attack on portions of the ICE Broadband Network.

This security flaw is particularly affecting the WRT54G version of the routers, but has also been found in other versions.

Users will notice slow downloads and uploads as a result of this and may see un-authorised attempts to access ports on your pc. Even if you are not experiencing a slow down, you may still be affected or the flaw in your router may be affecting the rest of the network.

We are requesting that ALL users of Linksys routers update their Router Firmware to the very latest version IMMEDIATELY.

Latest Versions of the Firmware can be found at:
    www.linksys.com
Simply select your product type and click on 'download firmware'.

The latest version of the firmware for the WRT54G model is Ver. 4.20.8 and can be downloaded directly from:
    http://www1.linksys.com/international/firmware.asp?intfwid=106&coid=18

The firmware upgrade process is very simple and is described in the user manuals, which can also be found at www.linksys.com

[edit]Khannie: i was going to post it in Broadband but if it's true then I think it deserves a wider audience. Move it if you feel it belongs in the Broadband forum.

Nah, it's not a broadband only issue. I'll leave it here.
