Looking to buy an external DVD writer for my pc. anybody recommend any decent websites (komplett, dabs etc) to buy from. Does the spec of it really matter as i only want it to copy dvd's and not watch them. I'm not that fussy on how long it takes to burn the dvd.
Basically, what i need is the cheapest and best for value.
    Cheers

    You say that now:)

Do you have USB2 or Firewire ports?

I'm going to use a usb port.
it doesn't have to be an exrenal one but i just figure it would be easy to set up without having hassle of removing case

An internal one would be a lot cheaper, probably has other advantages too. Unless you have a laptop i'd say get an Internal one and chance installing it yourself. Last time I checked Komplett had a few around the €45 mark.

    thanks for the help guys.

Will i run into any compatability issues regarding dvd drives and my pc?

definitely a thumbs up for an Internal drive -it's much cheaper!
check that you have the ability to add (spare slot/bay) another drive, check what connection type (IDE,etc.), and check that the drive you eye up is compatible with your OS (It will be;))..
