hey. i'm the vice-auditor of the Writers' Society in the college (NUIG obviously, for the morons who are trolling) and near the end of this semester we began taking entries for our annual literary competition.
for some reason this year we've received *less* than usual, hence the extra advertising.
any and all students of NUIG are welcome to enter. there will be an award ceremony for the winners and runners-up of each category at the launch of the college Múscailt festival in February.
the categories and monetary prizes are as follows:

    1st year prose €60
    2nd year prose €60
    3rd/Final prose €60
    Post-Grad prose €60

    1st/2nd Poetry €70
    3rd/Final/Post-Grad Poetry €70

    Irish Entrants €60

all entries are to be judged by established and published irish writers.
application forms can be obtained from the students union office in áras na macLéinn. closing date will probably be extended to about mid january...

(this doesn't contravene board rules seeing as it ain't in the interest of profit and does relate to the forum, right??)
