I find the information and advice on Sky products in this forum really helpful.
It is however quite limiting and I'm curious to learn more about non-SKY products.

Can members suggest some other forums I should check out ? The only other forums I'm aware of are the ones at digitalspy.co.uk and they're also very UK and Sky-centric.

    thanks

You could try http://www.satdudez.org/ very good for all the other satellites.

You will need to register to gain access though

Basically just want to know what else is out there - I'm sure there's more there than Sky and since we're in the EU I should be able to watch TV from elsewhere - seems that discussion on that is not allowed in this forum so I though I should look elsewhere.

thanks - I'll investigate those forums.

    www.lyngsat.com lists all the satellites.

    Click on Frequencies not packages
    i.e.
    http://www.lyngsat.com/europe.html
    http://www.lyngsat.com/atlantic.html

    Covers EVERYTHING you can receive.

Click on LEFT MOST column , the 15W or 23E, not the satellite name.

Unless you have special gear don't bother with:
    a) C-Band ONLY positions (purple / pastel mauve)
    b) Inclined orbits (only works a short period every day unless you have an Up/down motor)
    c) White backround positions (e.g. Afristar is for Worldspace radio sets at about 150 Euro, not for Satellite TV receivers).

Not true. We have always discussed non-Sky TV and Radio. I get about 1400 FTA TV and 1200 FTA Radio.

Lots of interesting channels and some with all English, some frequent English and some regular English.

The Pop Video and Sport you maybe don't need English.

    What you interested in?
