Dunne is in Germany the new home of big money boxing, this Saturday night as he takes on Marian Leondraliu from Romanian who is W 13 (3 ko's) L 14Total 27. Dunne's title won’t be on the line on

Its on RTE 2 Live Coverage at 8.30 and continues until 10.30,an expected European TV audience of over six million. This is a nothing fight IMO but great exposure to the European market.

Ive checked Leondraliu's record and it doesn't look great . The positive thing is that he's a natural Lightweight and should be quite strong because of that .
He's won the Romanian Lightweight title (means nothing really) and he's also lost a fight for that title .

I think this fight would be a bit like Hatton fighting Gatti in the states , mainly for exposure and not for the challenge .

At least Bernard is staying active .

Dunne was scheduled to fight Daniel Kodjo Sassou , but it's good he didn't as Leondraliu is actually a step up from him .

Edit : just read on East Side Boxing .com that this is the fight before the main event and will be viewed by 6 million people across Europe . It also says it's being shown on RTÉ2 live . Definetly a showcase fight . Lets hope he gets a crack at HUnter for the European title sometime in the new year .

A slow start from Dunne , but because he had not seen any tapes of the fighter that was to be expected . One thing which seems to be showing about Dunne is that although he's not the biggest of punchers he's a very good finisher .

The Germany crowd didn't give a **** though , some of them were staring at the Irish section of fans when they were cheering Dunne's win , almost wondering why they were cheering .

    Job done anyway .
