The escort and sierra cosworth, I suppose their already classics because they still sell for silly money.

Don't forget the more mundane cars are rarely preserved and can end up being worth more than ones with obvious star potential.

Late 80's Saab 900 Turbo , definitly a future classic.;)

They were made till 93, so I'd hope mine will be a classic also ( its a 1992 ).

That's right, you know which one I ment anyway. I had a 93 (new shape) 900 and it looked very similar to the older model. God I miss that car :(

The poor thing was destroyed by an 18 wheeler, my missus was driving and she walked away without a mark.

I think the Peugeot 205 GTi is a must

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,487 ✭✭✭franksm

Yeah, any of the 'old school' hot hatches for sure
'cept the crap ones ;-) ie. 1.0 litre engined "hot" hatches

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,863 ✭✭✭RobAMerc

    Golf and Corrado VR6
The 205 GTI - but probably a classic already.
    Clio Williams
    M3 E30.
Imprezza Turbo ???? Maybe the first ones - although it was a copy of the Delta HF Intrgrale and that of the Audi Quattro, so maybe only because it brought supercar performance to the masses.

Here's some photo's of the Merc, it's a 1983 200 carb. model automatic, silver in colour its very sound but needs a repaint. I bought the car about three years ago with a view to keeping it and putting it away until it's vintage but I have so many things going on at the moment I have to off load some stuff. I got the car serviced before I parked it up and it was driving very well but now needs new petrol and a battery to get it going. I also scrapped two others for parts and thats included. I paid £800 for it plus servicing and the two parts cars. I'm open to serious offers but I would like to get a good home for it as it would make a lovely car with a bit of T.L.C. I think the mileage is around 120k. I also have a 1969 M.G. Miget for sale, rebuilt about six years ago but needs a bit of detailing I'll take 3500 euros for that and its on the button.

1969 MG Miget, restored about six years ago, its on the button and driving well needs a small bit of detailing but nothing structural. I'll take 3500euros for it, it is rereged on a ZV plate. I also have a 1972 Citroen DS in very good order for around 11500 euros.

modern classic? ok what do u think of this one?
Ive already seen one in this country, not sure if it is for sale or not,
its modern equivalent was parked right next to it.

I saw one a few years ago but I don't think a Nissan Micra with a mock up Jaguar front will ever make it as a classic car, novelty item, probably.

Fiat coupe, smart cars especially the coupe.fuego.dodge ssr.pontiac aztek.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,907 ✭✭✭✭CJhaughey

    Saab 900 3dr classic.
A lovely car to drive and even with the low pressure turbo quite a rapid car.
The full pressure turbo is an animal, albeit a very refined animal.
    Anyone interested in mine?

I assume you mean the Renault Fuego. I saw one of those a few weeks ago in Walkinstown, hadn't seen one in years before that, real head turner.
