I've read Super System 2, Theory of Poker, Holdem for Advanced Players and Big Deal.

What next? I'm looking for both educational books and novels. I'm probably going to get Al Alvarez's "Biggest game in town" because I enjoyed Big Deal so much. Maybe something by Harrington? Malmuth? More Sklansky?

Whats your favourite book and why?

Both...they are a set one is early to mid tournament's and the second one is the latter stages of tournament play or "the end game" as the yanks would say.

Cheers for the advice. It would make a world of sense to invest in these as stt's and mtt's is all i'm playing regularly these days

The Harrington books come Highly recommended.

I bought both volumes and after reading them my STT and MTT cashes have really improved. Only playing small stakes $10/15/20 but still i am making the money on around 75% of the STT's i'm playing in.

Using some of the techniques helped me to my first decent cash in a live tourney where i came 2nd for €400 last week for a €20 plus top up €20 last week.

The Biggest Game in Town is a good read.

Last night I was browsing through "The Hand I Played" by David Spanier (did I get his name right?). He had a chapter about books written about Las Vegas and gave some honest comments on them. I have read most of the books listed on boards so I might buy some of the books he mentioned. Only problem is they were published in the 1960s. 1970s, 1980s and might be hard to find. Topics were varied but none were poker instructional.

Just recieved my copy of harrington on hold'em from amazon. I've got about 12 poker books already but this is by far the best yet. Absolutely loads of hands analysis and he never over complicates things either. Don't think i'll be finished reading it for a long time yet. That reminds me, i must order vol 2 aswell.

    highly recommended.

Does anybody know the name of the highly rated Cloutier & McEvoy book on tournament hold em? I've been trying to find it on Amazon for my christmas list, but can't decide which one it is.
